Terms of Service

Last updated August 2026

01

About These Terms

These Terms of Service apply to your use of the ProScan Radiology website and to the diagnostic imaging services provided by ProScan Radiology ("ProScan", "we", "us", "our") in Point Cook, Victoria. By booking or attending an appointment, or by using our website, you agree to these terms.

Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other legislation that cannot be excluded.

02

Referrals

Medicare-eligible imaging generally requires a valid referral from an appropriate referring practitioner. If you attend without a valid referral, your scan may not be eligible for a Medicare rebate and full fees may apply.

03

Appointments and Cancellations

We ask that you arrive with sufficient time (ideally 10 – 15 mins) before your appointment to complete any required paperwork or preparation (such as fasting or hydration instructions for certain scans).

04

Fees and Medicare Rebates

Fees vary by modality and clinical circumstance. Where a scan is bulk-billed, no out-of-pocket payment is required at the time of service. Where a gap payment applies, this will be explained to you prior to your scan wherever practicable.

05

Your Responsibilities

To help us provide safe and accurate imaging, you agree to provide complete and accurate information when requested, including:

  • Any known allergies, particularly to contrast media or iodine
  • Current or possible pregnancy
  • Any implanted medical devices (e.g. pacemakers, cochlear implants, metal implants) relevant to MRI safety
  • Relevant medical history, current medications, and kidney function where contrast is being considered
  • Details of any prior imaging of the same body region, to assist comparison

Withholding or providing inaccurate information in these areas may affect the safety or accuracy of your scan.

06

Consent

Your attendance for a scan implies consent to that procedure. For certain procedures (for example, contrast administration or interventional/pain management procedures), we may seek specific written or verbal consent and will explain the relevant risks and alternatives beforehand.

07

Reports and Results

Following your scan, your images are reviewed by our radiologist and a report is sent to your referring practitioner.

You may request access to your own images and reports in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Please note that as the report is a clinical document intended to inform your referring practitioner, we encourage you to discuss your results with your referring practitioner rather than relying solely on the report itself.

08

Website Use

The content on this website is provided for general information only and does not constitute medical advice. It is not a substitute for consultation with a qualified health practitioner regarding your individual circumstances.

All content, logos and material on this website remain the property of ProScan Radiology unless otherwise stated, and may not be reproduced without permission. Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience only; we are not responsible for the content of external sites.

09

Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, ProScan Radiology's liability for any claim arising from the use of this website or our services is limited in accordance with applicable law, including the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10
